Teacher Highlight- Danielle Eavenson
Meet Elevate’s Teacher Highlight of the Week: Danielle Eavenson!
I teach Herbal Medicine 101 on Wednesday evenings and Thursday mornings.
For fun, I like to go on adventures with my family, play in waterfalls and forage in the woods, dance and garden.
Fun Fact: I was in the original Dirty Dancing movie!
Super power: My kids and I play this game all the time. True Wisdom is what we named the power I want. It’s the ability to see things once and know them forever. For example, I could read a book about flying helicopters and be able to then fly one perfectly and never forget how.
I love my students and the supportive staff at elevate. Everyone is genuine, creative, interesting and kind.

Teacher Highlight- Amy Willoughby Burle
Our teacher highlight this week is Amy Willoughby Burle!
Here are some things to know about Amy:
I teach 12 classes. Two art classes, two grammar based classes (Excellence in Writing), as well as two creative writing classes. I also teach preschool 26 Letters from A to Z as well as an early writing class for 1-3 grade called I Can Write. I also teach 15 Things Health. 15 Things Culture and Civilization and 15 Things Early Education.
In my spare time (haha) I like to write fiction.
My super power would be to snap my fingers and all my housework would be done. I’d be happy to come to other people’s houses and “clean” as well.
Fun fact about me: I’m a bad speller and although I can type quickly and without looking at the keys it isn’t the “proper” way to type. I learned my own made up way after having to type numerous papers in college and from doing my own fiction writing. I always tell people this because I think that people think in order to be good at something you have to be good at everything that involves that thing. I’m writer, but even though I struggle with spelling and don’t the proper way to type, I still consider myself pretty good at it. 🙂
Elevate is my dream job. When I was young I wanted to be a mother, a teacher, and a writer. God has blessed me with the opportunity to do all those things. At Elevate, I get to spend all day with kids talking about writing. What could be better?
Thank you for making Elevate such a special place Amy!
