This year long middle school life science course introduces and explores the major concepts and principles of biology, serving as a bridge between elementary science courses and high school Biology. Life Science includes topics such as the scientific method, cells, classification of life forms, patterns and cycles in nature, anatomy, zoology, genetics, ecology and much more. Students will be challenged to practice critical thinking skills and inquiry-based learning. The course will consist of weekly reading assignments, videos, internet research, note-taking at home and lab work (hands on activities and experiments), group discussions , review, videos, and quizzes during class time.
