For the last 6 years, most of Alisha Ear’s time has been focused on having and raising 3 little girls while traveling the country as a Navy wife. Before that, she danced in the Boston area with Lorraine Chapman the Company and Andary Dance, while training with Marcus Schulkind. She earned her BFA in Dance Performance from Ohio State University in 2005, dancing works of Susan Hadley and Doug Varone. She has choreographed in her living room with friends as kid, in high school for the dance team/program, as a volunteer for the Distinguished Young Woman Program, as an entrepreneur in Returning ACTS Dancers and Provision Collaborative, for a performance of Asheville City Ballet at the North Carolina Dance Festival and for First Presbyterian Church of Norfolk and In One Accord Dance Company of Regent University. She has taught workshops and master classes for both children and advanced dancers and the experience of starting a class for non-dancers at the YMCA as well as taking Gaga classes in NYC has sparked a passionate idea that all people (who want to) can and should dance. Her only “real job” she calls it, has been managing a professional children’s choir in Boston, MA. Alisha is excited to be teaching the amazing students at Elevate Life and Art.
