The arts have always been extremely important to Kelly, as she grew up with an artistic mother and a musical father. She showed an interest and passion for art, starting at a young age, on her farm in Western New York. There, she was often found helping her mother with crafts in the studio, or sitting in her favorite tree, sketching or painting, mostly animals, but especially horses.
Kelly continued to develop her artistic skills throughout her youth, and eventually attended school at Spring Arbor University in Michigan, where she majored in studio art, concentrating in drawing and photography. There, she was really able to excel in her artistic talents and discovered how much of her art is inspired and influenced by nature. At this Christian university, Kelly met her husband of 4 years, Jeremiah, who is very supportive of her artistic passions.
Kelly also works as a personal trainer at a gym in Asheville, where she can express her other passion, for fitness. When not in the gym or her art studio, she spends most of her time in with one of her horses, practicing dressage, or out on a hiking trail.
